Chapter 3 Page 66

Greetings from Japan! A measly one page this week. Sorry! Read on from last week here. At least if you do it will sort of feel like reading two pages!
Yes, I did mention previously that September might get bad with updates, so here it is, the least I will do for an update, one sad little page.
Well, there’s a good reason, I’m at TGS in Japan right now, which means I haven’t had access to my computer for the week. I’m sure you can understand how that limited my bandwidth! Apologies!
Trust me, i’d have put out a lot more if it had been physically possible and if the coming weeks have slightly less updates than normal, I assure you it is simply a matter of other work ramping up and not an indication that I’m losing interest. I love drawing Otherworld, and I really can’t wait to get onto some of the cool stuff coming up. So bear with me!
I didn’t have time to put up a set of links to web comics I like again this week. So I’m just going to give you a recommendation. It’s a comic that started in 2006, and has long been finished, which is super cool, because you can enjoy the whole story.
It’s called Rice Boy by Evan Dahm. Stumbled across it this week, so I’m well behind the times! However, it looks like Evan is currently self publishing it, and I wish him all the best so if you do already know about it, nows the time to put in an order for the printed version.
There is just so much to like about Rice Boy, it’s hard not to end up turning this post into a full blown review. From the simple but almost trippily imaginative character and world design, to the fantastic writing that brings to mind the best elements of Alice in Wonderland or Spirited Away. It’s a corking story that I’m very glad I got the opportunity to read.
If you have missed this little gem. Go check it out.
